A Little About Paul

Paul Jason Gleit (born April 13, 1976) is currently a managing partner at EDGE VC, a family-owned and operated consulting group based out of Manhattan, New York City. His background in consulting comes from his experience as a Compliance and Accreditation Coordinator (HIPAA & FWA) in the Specialty Pharmacy Industry -- as well as an extensive background in Real Estate Development.

Early Life

Paul Gleit was born and raised in the Sheepshead Bay area of Brooklyn, New York. He attended Montessori School in Brooklyn followed by York Preparatory High School in Manhattan. From there, Paul received a degree from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice at the City University of New York (CUNY) with a double-major in Community Health.

His parents are of first generation Eastern European descent. The Gleits raised their children with both Russian and Polish languages spoken in the home, as well as a Polish and Jewish culinary upbringing. Together with his younger brother and parents, Paul traveled frequently throughout Europe, Israel and United States from very young age.

Interests

Paul’s an active member of his community in New York where he participates in Rotary Club, Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), Israeli American Council (IAC), and American Jewish Committee (AJC). He has a strong love for Politics and is a member of several local Political Clubs (past and present) including the Highway Democratic Club of Brooklyn, Charles Schumer for Senate Campaign, and Michael Nelson for Councilman. In addition, Paul attends several Local and National Conferences annually regarding a multitude of subject matter.

When he’s not active in his community, Paul frequents local trendy restaurants where he is a fanatic for good pizza; always looking for the best ones in New York and abroad when traveling. He also loves to ski and belongs to a ski troop that enjoys traveling the world touring premier ski destinations. Paul is a big fan of all things Hockey and although he cheers on his local New York Rangers, he truly has an unbiased love for Hockey teams throughout the world.

Professional Life

Paul has been involved with many aspects of his (previously) family run health care/pharmacy business.  His educational background in law and public health has been synergistic to business’ needs in the health sector. Paul’s responsibilities and experience centered on back-end operations including security considerations, regulatory compliance management, and reconciliations. As compliance specialist, he developed familiarity with systems and general business operations through an understanding of ethics, regulation, and laws.

It is those qualities of detail that Paul brings to EDGE Ventures. Paul’s accomplishments stem from his multicultural background and strong interests in law, politics and philanthropy -- all of which added assets that contribute to his business success.
